Free 31 Days of Purity eBook Available

Yesterday we completed our 31 Days of Purity Challenge.  It has been a wonderful experience to dedicate an entire month to praying for purity. I was especially honored to partner with Tim Challies for this challenge. I believe many men have been helped this month (and women as they have supported the men in their lives).

Many want to keep the group going. (I’ll discuss whether we are doing that or not in a post later today). I do encourage you to keep your browser pointed to the 31 Day Prayer Challenge site, as the P4P app will be available very shortly. You can also sign up to receive our free eBook below.

To help men continue to pray and pursue purity, and to extend this beyond the initial group, we are making available a free eBook for all those that participated in the prayer challenge. (Even if you didn’t participate you can still download the book).

To download the book simply go here.

Many thanks to Dawn Lamper for graciously agreeing to devote her talents to making this eBook available to you free of charge. You should check out her other work.

AL MVP: Eric Hosmer
NL MVP: Clayton Kershaw

AL Cy Young: Yu Darvish
NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw

Other Predictions:

  • I might just be a homer, but I really do think the Royals can make a deep run. It all depends on pitching and a Moose. They filled in the gaps on offense but how much will losing Santana cost.
  • Speaking of Santana, I don’t think he’ll win over 12 games.
  • The Dodgers will win close to 110 games.
  • Teams to watch out for: Diamondbacks, Twins, Orioles, the Cubs in 2016
  • Hosmer will break Steve Balboni’s regular season home run record. He’ll bat .317 with 37 dingers and 119 RBI.
  • The Yankees are old but deep enough to make some noise. Jeter will make a final trip to October but fall short of the Dodgers.
  • I’m not shocked if Detroit finishes 3rd in the division.
  • I’m also not shocked if the Blue Jays aren’t in the cellar and have a bounce back year.
  • I’m not sure if he’ll make the team out of spring but keep an eye on Billy Burns of the A’s. Dude can wheel.
  • A bad toe will cost Mike Trout at least 40 games
  • Miguel Cabrera will have a down year.
  • 95 steals for Billy Hamilton
  • After a 5 game losing streak Don Mattingly grows out his mustache and hair again. The Dodgers win 25 straight games.
  • The Astros aren’t the worst team in the AL. That honor goes to the White Sox.
  • Albert Pujols has a bounce back year.
  • Pete Rose still won’t be in the Hall of Fame which is utterly stupid.

Introducing The Seeds Project

When my son turned five, my wife and I went to the nearest book store and bought him his first Bible. I also wanted a good devotional that we could read together as a family to help us understand the Bible. There were a few things that were decent, but nothing that really fit what we were looking for.

What I was really looking for was a devotional that would go through one book of the Bible at a time. And one that would train my little guy in how to do Bible study. Of course, I also wanted it to be engaging and easy enough to actually maintain. But also one that was deep enough that it would plant deep roots in his heart (and maybe even minister to mom and dad while we do it).

When I couldn’t find what I was looking for I decided to just write my own. I wrote about twenty devotions on Paul’s letter to the Colossians, took it to Staples, and turned it into a little devotional for him and gave it to him for his birthday.

After going through these devotions with my own son and listening to the frustrations of other parents I decided to work towards making this curriculum available to other parents. But I also wanted to make sure that the quality was something that compared to the quality of the other devotionals. So I got in touch with a professional artist and a graphic designer. I’ve also been blessed with a few great editors that have devoted their time. And I’ve even got a great writer to do the Foreword (maybe).

But I need your help. I cannot get this project off the ground without proper funding to pay for the artist, graphic designer, advertising and other needs. I’ve started a Kickstarter program to help you get involved with this project.

Even if you cannot assist financially in this project I would greatly appreciate your prayers. I believe that this project can impact many families. Pray for wisdom in writing and that the Lord would open up doors for this material as He sees fit. You can also help by sharing this post and encouraging others to get involved.
