This week will be our third annual IMPACT:Jasper week. The past couple of years we had a team stay at the church and another team “host” those staying at the church. We’ve switched things up this year to invite more participation—we won’t have a team staying at the church this year. But we will continue to devote an entire week to missions in the Jasper area.
The schedule this year looks like this:
Monday AM: Prayer Walking
Monday PM: Block Party at Village Court Apartments
Tuesday AM: Flier Distribution for Grace and Truth
Tuesday PM: Block Party in Otwell for Grace and Truth
Wednesday AM: Service Project at mobile home area
Thursday AM: Pampered Escape
Thursday PM: Block Party at DuBois Count Corrections
Friday AM: Service Project
Friday PM: Block Party at mobile home area next to the church
Last year was the first year that we did our Pampered Escape event. It is designed to serve the single mothers in our community. This was our most successful outreach last year and so we are trying it again.
This year we also will be helping our church plant, Grace and Truth, impact the Otwell community that they are trying to reach. We are also focusing our attention on another area in our community that we noticed last year while prayer walking. We are excited to see what the Lord does in the Village Court Apartments area.
